| SEA GAMES 2011: VIETNAM CALL UP 27 PLAYERS; MALAYSIA <b>...</b> Posted: 05 Oct 2011 05:26 AM PDT  HANOI (4 Oct 2011) – Vietnam have called up 27 players for a second centralised training camp in preparation for the 26th edition of the SEA Games which will be hosted by Indonesia next month. Chief coach Falko Goetz (pix) has given the nod to U21 midfielder Lam Anh Quang as well as U19 goalkeeper Lam An Do and midfielder Le Hoang Thien the chance to prove their worth. Training will be at the Ham Rong Sport Centre in central highland Pleiku City before the squad leaves for Hanoi to take part in the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Cup on 14 October 2011. The annual tournament, considered as the last warm-up for the SEA Games, is scheduled for 19-23 October 2011 at the My Dinh National Stadium. IN THE MEANTIME, the Malaysian U23 side conceded a 3-0 loss to the senior Malaysian squad in a friendly that was played at the Wisma FAM field this week The goal scorers for Malaysia were Noshahrul Idlan Talaha, Baddrol Bakhtiar and Shahrizal Saad. |
